We're reading the monsters a Dutch history book with 17 exciting naval stories. It's a thrilling book, with tales of battles at sea throughout history (from the year 1522up to and including 2016) These stories are primarily about how children living in those times experienced it. All seventeen stories in this book were written by well-known Dutch writers.

Here they are, in order of the content of the book: Harmen van Straaten, Bies van Ede, Peter Smit, Annemarie Bon, Lida Dijkstra, Harry de Bles and Marcel van Driel..Moreover, all the stories are beautifully illustrated by Harmen van Straaten. Now you might be thinking: That's only 7 authors?/? :)) But that's because some authors wrote multiple stories.

This beautiful, thick book is a sturdy, well-produced publication by Kluitman Uitgeverij in Alkmaar and made possible thanks to the cooperation of the Maritime Museum in Den Helder. in the Netherlands. It's a magnificent book, a lifelong treasure, and a wonderful read. Sadly only in Dutch!
