self-drying clay
a round cookie cutter
acrylic paint, blue, green and white
paint brushes
clay varnish, matte
a paint brush
a suede lace
optional: beads, wooden or metal
For Earth Day we make a fun necklace with the mini monsters. Tough with a suede lace and beautiful with some beads, or both, they can choose themselves. The necklaces turn out beautiful and they are easy to make. The youngest must have a lot of patience and that's very difficult! But the clay must dry well before you can paint and then paint again and then varnish too. Well done if you can wait that long!
How to make the necklace
Knead the clay until soft.
Roll the clay thickly.
Cut out a circle.
Poke a hole in the clay.
Set the clay aside and leave it for 1 - 2 days to dry through and through
Paint the pendants blue. let dry.
Paint on green lands, let dry.
And a few white clouds, let dry.
Let the paint dry completely in an hour
Varnish the pendants, let dry well.
Stick the lace through the hole.
Stick the lace through the loop and pull.
String some beads on your necklace (or don't).
Tie a knot on top of the lace and your necklace is ready!
