Willemijn is such a sweet mouse; we have all of her books on our shelves because they're so funny, you always want to read them. Author Lida Dijkstra understands little quirky characters perfectly, so the Willemijn stories really come to life for the little monsters.
Even more so with the support of the lovely illustrations, made by Dutch illustrator Noëlle Smit. Today's book is about Christmas, a winter celebration that the mini-monsters are also looking forward to! (Such a shame these books are not available in the English Language).
Look at that ugly plastic tree in the attic! Willemijn says that's not nice. Mom says, "But when the tree is decorated, it's quite beautiful." No, says Willemijn, she'll go get a real tree herself, from the forest. Mom doesn't think that's such a good idea... A sweet picture book for Christmas!
