Green paint and a paint brush
Gold-coloured cardboard

Black ribbon

Today we're making a fun craft for St Patrick's Day, Ireland's national holiday. We're taking a flower pot and transforming it magically into an Irish leprechaun hat! How fun, right? If you have a flower pot, you can probably conjure it up too! ;))

How to make an Irish leprechaun hat

Mix light and dark green paint.

Mix it into emerald green.

Paint the flower pot green.

Give the pot 3 layers of paint.

Allow each layer of paint to dry before applying a new layer of paint!

While the paint is drying you make a golden buckle

Cut out a rectangle of gold cardboard.

Draw the width of the ribbon on the back.

Cut out a rectangle.

Stick the buckle onto the ribbon and the ribbon around the hat.

Allow the glue to dry completely and the hat is ready.

We decorate green candies with the Irish Leprechaun Hat, which looks very festive!

To all who celebrate today: Happy St. Patrick's Day!
