Today, we're making the carnivorous Piranha Plant from the game with our little Super Mario fans. The plant grows in a unique green pot, and the Piranha has a large mouth with sharp teeth. We're using craft foam to make the pot and the plant. Print out the patterns, trace them, and cut them out. Then it will be easy peasy!

How to make a Super Mario Piranha Plant

Start by making the flowerpot.
We (coincidentally) have foam with a sticky side and without, for the pot we use the one with the sticky side

Measure the foam with the roll and draw a line with pencil.

Cut off the marked foam on the stripe.

Remove the paper from the sticky side of the foam

Roll the toilet roll in the foam on the sticky side..

If necessary, glue the ends of the cut off edges with some glue together

Cut of two narrow strips of foam.

Stick both on the topside around the pot.

Stick the one on the other to get a thick rim.

Using a pencil, draw a circle on the green foam, around the empty  roll

Cut out and Stick the circle on the flower pot.

Cut a brown circle out of brown felt.

Glue the brown circle onto the green one in the flower pot.

Poke a hole through both of the circles.

The flower pot is ready, continue with making the stem and 2 leaves

Poke the stem into the hole and tie a knot at the bottom.

Trace the leave pattern and cut it out.

Cut the out of foam and drizzle some glue on the leaves.

Stick the leaves firmly onto the stem of the plant.

How to make a scary Piranha flower!

Trace 2 red circles and cut both out.

Cut out the mouth, teeth and dots.

Stick all onto one of the red circles.

Stick the circles together with the stem in between.

Allow the glue to dry completely and find a nice spot for the plant.

Have fun with the Piranha plant but do be very careful, IT BITES!
