The little monsters made a mini woolen winter hat at school, to hang on the Christmas tree. So cute! All the woolen winter hats hang in the school's Christmas tree. The kids may take them home the day before the Christmas vacation starts. Only then, the little monsters say ... :(
But we say: "Make another one here at home, so you can hang it on your Christmas tree already. You can never have too many warm wool winter hats, and these mini ones don't take up much space". No sooner said than done! ;)) If you use various colours of wool the hat will be even merrier or use wool in mixed colours, that works even faster!
How to make a mini Woolen Winter Hat
Cut a ring from an empty toilet roll.
Cut a woolen thread of 25 cm.
Cut a lot of threads of various colours.
Fold a tread in half and stick the loop through thering.
Stick the ends through the loop and pull tight.
Do the same with the other threads.
Keep going until the ring is filled up.
Twist the strands on top of the hat around the your index finger and press through the ring
Pull the strands out of the ring on the other side
Plug a piece of paper into the hat..
Tie a thread firmly around the strands, halfway up.
Cut the strands on top short, jusrt like a pompon.
Tie the 2 long threads into a loop, use it to hang the hat on.
Hang your woolen winter hat in the Christmas tree or in your room.
