The leaves are falling from the trees again, autumn has arrived well! Last month we made little Autumn dolls and today we are making autumn leaves from felt for them, in the most beautiful autumn colours. They will be sleeping bags for the little gnome children. Then they will have a nice warm place to sleep, when it gets colder outside.
How to make autumn leaves of felt
Print the patterns and cut them out
Pin the patterns on the felt as you like it.
Cut out the felt and then remove the patterns.*
Embroider the vains on the leaves with embroidery yarn.
Embroider half the whole leaves and the piece thet goes on top.
*If you like it you can also use pinking shears to cut out the leaves
Keep the embroidery simple or fill it up with embroidery.
Pin the two pieces of the leaves together.
Everone embroidered a design after their own idea.
Blanket stitch the bottom half on and tie off firmly.
Now you can tuck in the gnome children nice and warm.
You can put the gnomes on the autumn table, but you can also play with them
