The first children's news program that mentions the impending snow has the little monsters sitting up straight! Snow? They're so looking forward to snow,for the longest time it has scarcely snowed in the Netherlands.
On January 5th, yes, there it is, it has snowed! It is a bit powdery, but still! The roofs and trees look beautiful with a little white layer. Unfortunately, it's Monday today and school starts again... Isn't that bad luck?
But when the little monsters come home after school, they still had fun. There was a bit of snow throwing during monrning break outside. No real snowballs, there wasn't enough snow for that. But still enough to play with :))
We have to admit, looking outside or walking around, all that snow is a beautiful sight. Not on the way to school with all the traffic, people and the slow-moving tram, but when you walk home on the other side, you see the trees and the park—so beautiful! Don't even think about the coming slippery conditions later on or the possible icy conditions!
The garden is also pretty as a picture right now. Especially while we're cozy inside, nice and warm with coffee and tea.
