House of Banksy

Looking for a fun outing during the May break? Puk really wants to go to House of Banksy, an unauthorized exhibition featuring the street art of British street artist Banksy. We think that sounds great too, so we booked the tickets right away.

The exhibition has been on display in Rotterdam for a while now. But the monsters were busy with school and such, so we went now, during the May break. The exhibition ends sometime this month and we don't want to miss it!

Puk can't wait for us to get there; he's really looking forward to it and we arrive quickly by Metro. He does graffiti himself too; he took a workshop and really enjoys doing it. The Skellie with the smiley face is, of course, the coolest, absolutely amazing!

We soon come across all kinds of well-known images, but it is still much more fun to see them here in 'real life'. Puk has a lot of respect for Banksy, his catchy captions, and his cool images. It is very special to be able to view it up close here.

You can also leave your own tag here, and many people have already done so; Puk loves doing it too. He creates his own graffiti in blue. The street art really comes into its own here; the way it is set up really appeals to Puk. It is a fantastic exhibition!

We are just going to stop by the shop; Puk wants to buy a magnet of the girl with the heart balloon. Is that what you like the best of what you saw, Puk? No, but Puk's gran likes this image very much, so he is buying it for her. What Puk liked best? The rats; he doesn't have to think about that for a second :)))

We highly recommend this exhibition to anyone who loves street art; go take a look soon, otherwise you might regret it. It is the coolest art Puk has seen so far!
