Lampje

In March 2017, renowned Dutch illustrator Annet Schaap debuted with a beautiful children's book: Lampje. In 2018, the book was awarded the Gouden Griffel (Golden Stylus), one of the most important literary prizes for Dutch children's literature authors. Imagine receiving such a wonderful, important award for your first book! How wonderful is that, and what does it say about the book?

It speaks volumes to us that fellow authors, children's book stores and lovers of children's books have chosen this book to be awarded with a Golden Stylus. We also think the story about Lampje is beautiful, exciting and sad and the Griffel is truly deserved. It's a very special book. The story is sad, adventurous, and exciting, and it teaches us how strong children are, just like Lampje and Edward.
