What do you need?
Print the PDF pattern
A wooden stick and green paint
Craft foam (orange, yellow, white)
Craft foam (green, black, and brown)
A pencil
Scissors
Craft glue
A small flower pot
A piece of self-drying clay
Optional: A glue gun

The Super Mario flowers and plants are very special and incredibly dangerous in the games! But the flowers we're making today come unarmed. It's so much fun; the little monsters can make them—almost—on their own. They think it's a really fun craft, so we're having a lot of fun with it.

Do mind! Use a small flowerpot with a hole in the bottom so the clay inside can still dry while the fire flower is already finished

How to make a Super Mario Fire Flower

Print the pattern and cut out all the parts

Paint one side of the wooden stick nicely green and let it dry.

Paint the other side green too and let the paint dry again.

Place the flower and leaves on the craft foam and trace them.

Cut out the traced flower parts and both the leaves too.

Glue the 3 parts of the flower together.

Cut out elongated eyes for the flower.

Draw nerfs in the leaves with closed scissors.

We glued the flower to the stem using hobby glue, but after drying, the flower came loose again.
Using the glue gun we glued the flower securely on the stem!

Stick the flower on the stem.

Knead the clay into a ball.

Trace the pot on brown craft foam.

Poke a hole in the center.

Press the ball of clay on the bottom of the flower pot and glue the foam on top

Stick the flower through the hole in the foam into the clay in the pot.

Now find your Fire Flower a nice spot in your room.

Your new Fire Flower lights up your whole room but it does not shoot fire, thankfully!
