Openbaar geheim

The author/illustrator of Openbaar geheim (Open Secret) is a Dutch biologist named Willem Beekman, and he's not the least person to tell us about nature in this book. In his brilliant stories he reveals things about nature you might not have considered from his perspective. He makes connections you even might have completely missed. Until now, that is!

Because the stories are scientifically sound it all makes sense but it's told so beautifully that you'd almost forget that. What you read is the simple truth, it just is. Now we've finished reading the book and we're very eager to share it with you. But here it comes: pick just three illustrations from this book, that's almost impossible! Lucky for us, the young monsters helped with choosing. :))

Read the back cover of Openbaar geheim (Open Secret) to find out what Willem Beekman did before he started writing this book. Then you'll understand why everything he tells you seems so logical. This book may be written for adults, but our young monsters are fascinated by Mr. Beekman's illustations and they love to hear his stories as well. We are very happy about that as well, because they pick up what they like, and who better to tell them? We'll save the rest until later.

Regrettably this wonderful book has not been translated into the English language, but you can find it (in Dutch) at all Dutch libraries.
