What do you need for the Dinosaur and Cat?

Today Puk and I are going to make a Mother's Day gifts, made out of clay. Together, we're making a sweet cat filled with lip gloss. A practical and fun gift, especially for Puk's mom, who loves cats and makeup.
But Puk is also making a cute dinosaur for his Mummy, thought out all by himself and from scratch! You can make any other animal or even a figure out of clay. Make whatever you can imagine; self thought out gifts are always the best!

Break off a piece of the clay.
Knead the clay nicely smooth.
Roll it into a ball.
The ball is Dinosaur's hind legs.
Smart thinking Puk, because now the Dinosaur stands very stable! But Puk feels a bit sad, because his dinosaur does not look like it should. So we form a partnership. I help him shape the body and the head but he makes the scales and the legs all by himself. Puk is happy again, he thinks his Mum will be pleased.
Puk rolls a cylinder, together we bend a head, body and tail from it.
Puk makes flat scales and presses them neatly on the dinosaur's back.
We knead a piece of clay again.
Roll a ball of clay again.
Twist the box firmly into the clay.
Cut the edge off smoothly, just under the box.
Roll the box in the side until it is tapered.
Rub the edge smooth with your index finger.
Knead one more piece of clay.
Press the clay on the lid, rub it down and roll it too.
Fit the top of the cat on the bottom.
Pull two ears out of the top of the cat's head.
Allow the clay to dry completely overnight, for a night or 2.
Puk keeps an eye on our clay animals, but they are not dry yet.
The painting of the animals has to wait a couple more days!
