For Thanksgiving, we're making a garland with a traditional American dish. It's eaten there as the finale of the festive Thanksgiving meal: it's the Pumpkin Pie. We make pie slices out of cardboard and hang them up as a long garland. It looks very festive and fun!
How to make a Pumpkin Pie garland
We make a pattern.
You print and cut it out
Trace it on crafting cardboard.
Cut out brown and orange cones.
These brown and orange cones will become the pumpkin pie slices
Trace thin stripes on the coloured paper.
Cut out the paper strips neatly.
They will be the latticework on the pie.
Stick the strips onto the slice.
Overlap the strips diagonally.
Cut out broader paper strips.
Fold them like an accordion.
Stick them on the round side of the pie.
Stick the accordion's also on the orange slices.
Allow the glue to dry completely.
While the pie slices are drying you roll 'whipped cream' of cotton wool between your hands
Stick the whipped cream on the orange Pumpkin Pie slices.
Stick the Pie Slices on the twine and your can hang your garland!
Happy Thanksgiving!
