We're making beautiful lantern transparencies for Eid al-Fitr. We have beautiful gold and black cardstock in the cupboard. Next to it we have kite paper in various colours, so the light can shine through beautifully. We love making decorated windows during these festive days, so it's going to be pretty here, for Eid al-Fitr!
How to make Eid lantern transparencies
Print the PDFs with templates and cut them out
Trace the lanterns on black and gold cardstock.
Alternate and trace patterns on gold glitter cardboard.
We are making various lanterns.
Each of us chooses a colour. and a pattern.
Cut out the lanterns neatly.
Trace the windows, on the lanterns.
Cut out (an adult) the windows neatly.
Also cut and/or punch small decorations from the lanterns.
Cut and paste coloured kite paper behind all the 'windows'.
Now you can stick the lanterns on your window, they look very pretty with the light shining through!
